Yellow. It is the color of sunshine, hope, and happiness. My kids all have yellow umbrellas. On the dreariest of rainy days when it is dark and gray outside, my kids put on their rain boots and take out their yellow umbrellas. Their yellow umbrellas automatically make the darkest day bright. Their laughter and their smiles as they jump in puddles show that joy can be found even on the gloomiest of days. My children are my yellow umbrellas. They have taught me to always look for the good in people, to look for joy, to be an example of kindness, and to always have hope.
My family is everything to me. In order to be the best mom and wife I can be, I need to be their yellow umbrella. I have learned that I need to always try to be the best version of myself. This is not easy, and I am a work in progress. This blog is my journey. It is the journey in trying to maximize my time with my family, it is my journey to defining myself as a person, more than just mom and wife, and it is my journey in learning more about the world I live in.
